The NPHL (Northern Plains Hockey League) is a great opportunity for High School and Bantam eligible hockey players to get back into the hockey season while still being able to participate in other fall activities. While league standings and individual statistics are kept, the league focuses on player development rather than wins and losses, making it a fun and competitive environment for players to improve their skills.
The NPHL is comprised of NDAHA rostered teams with players from North Dakota, along with potential guest teams participating in the league. In the past, guest teams from Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, and Manitoba have participated. The league will span over 5 weekends for high school eligible players and 4 weekends for bantam eligible players.
Each weekend will consist of 2 games on Saturday and a minimum of one on Sunday, with the possibility of playing 2 games on Sunday for some teams.
Registration for the NPHL will be accepted on a first come, first served basis with the goal of filling at least 4 North Dakota teams at the Bantam level and 6 North Dakota teams at the High School level. Goaltenders are registered and held on waiting list until teams are finalized. A Maximum of 2 goaltenders per team will be accepted, so if the league has 4 teams, it will accept 8 goalies, etc... Goaltenders that are not able to be placed on a team will receive a full refund.
Each team can roster a maximum of 18 skaters and 2 goalies, ensuring fair play and plenty of opportunities for all players to get involved.
