Mark Magee is returning for his 10th season as U18 Head Coach and we couldn’t be more excited!
Coach Magee has a proven record as a coach, and demonstrates a deep understanding of the local football landscape and its people, our organization’s culture and a commitment to give back to our community. Mark is a graduate of the Queen's University Technological Internship Program and is freshly retired from his teaching position at Frontenac Secondary. Mark has more than 30 years of experience coaching minor, high school and university football. He started at LCVI, and QECVI in the early 80's winning 3 KASSAA championships at LCVI and more recently, numerous KASSAA, National Capital and OFSSA Championship bowl games as an assistant and head coach of the Frontenac SS Falcons. Magee joined the Queen’s Gaels coaching staff in 2011 for 7 years, six as the running backs coach. This will be Mark’s 10th season with the Grenadiers where In the 2024 season, he led the team to an incredible 7-1 record, 2025 saw the team go undefeated in the regular season, finishing 3rd in the province and 2026 is looking just as bright! “The Grenadiers is a great program, and I could not be more excited to lead the Senior Varsity team, again this season,” said Magee. “I am committed to bringing the Grens a team they can be proud of both on and off the field.” Magee has high expectations of what is possible for the players. “We are going to set a high bar in everything we do,” he said. “It’s our job as coaches to develop our players and hold everyone accountable. If we identify the right kids and put them in the best position possible while fostering a positive environment for the players, I think success on the field will follow.”
