In a nail-biting showdown, it was Team Poncin who emerged victorious over The Miller Community Theatre by a tight score of 5-4. The theatre company, fresh from their sensational run of The Rocky Horror Show, bravely took on the seasoned wiffs of Team Poncin, who had the incredible talents of all-star Jose Torres, veterans Mike Hansen and Russ Natalie, the young and powerful Milos, and the surprise addition of Mike's daughter Alex, who made a special trip all the way from Japan!
Not to be outshined, Miller Community Theatre showcased their own shining stars, led by the neckless Josh Gamble, who is known for his unmatched intensity on the field. Alongside him was the mesmerizing Rebecca "Magenta" White, who brought her own brand of magic to the game. The team displayed outstanding efforts, with impressive home runs by Alex Schmidt and Sarah Denton, and the brilliant hitting skills of newcomer Angie Smith. And, who could forget our current cover boy - the affable Matt Zipco (apparently this commentator), who also seemed to enjoy himself.
Although Miller Community Theatre fell just short of victory, the game was maybe too close for comfort for the star-studded Team Poncin. The outcome hung in the balance until the very end, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.
