I’m Joel Costigan, Director of the Portland Youth Futsal League and head boys' soccer coach at Deering High School. I’m excited to welcome you to the 2025 season, which runs from January 5th to March 9th.

Vincent Aceto – Head Boys' Soccer Coach, Westbrook High School
Mya Landry – Senior, standout, Deering High School
Peter Sargent – Senior, all-star, Deering High School, and future USM Husky!
Ethan Fisher - Senior, all-star, Deering High School, and future Bates Bobcat!
Alberto Casteliano – Sophomore, standout, Deering High School
We currently have 90 players registered for the 2025 season and anticipate up to 160. Rosters will be finalized in late December. If you know anyone interested in joining, please encourage them to register soon. For roster requests (e.g., carpooling, siblings), please submit them as soon as possible—I’ll do my best to accommodate while maintaining balanced teams.
Important Dates:
Sunday, January 5th:Introduction to Futsal Event (mandatory for all players and parents/guardians).
Parents will meet with Tyrone Daniels and me to discuss league details and expectations.
Players will meet their coaches, teammates, and participate in scrimmages.
Wednesday, January 8th: Foot skills sessions begin.
Sunday, January 12th: Regular season games begin.
