Slo Pitch League Rules

1. The League spans 4 weeks, beginning June 3^rd.
2. Games will begin at 5:15 pm on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays at Innovation Place’s Ball Dimond. (See map below)
3. Teams will play each other 2x in a round-robin format. Note* The number of games per week may vary. Teams may have a week with no games or a week with up to two games.
4. Team Captains will be responsible for reporting game scores via Teamlinkt.
5. Balls and bats will be locked in a storage bin next to the diamonds. Team captains are responsible for ensuring that equipment gets stored appropriately after the game. A combination will be emailed to Team Captains.
6. The league will be administered through the team link app.
   1. If players do not already have a Teamlinkt account, they must create a username and login. Players will receive a join code from their team captain. 
   2. The schedule will be available on their Teamlinkt app.
7. If there is a tie for first place, the team with the fewest runs against will be the winner.

1. Tie Games
   If there is a tie game after 7 innings, the tie stands, and each team gets points. 
2. Rescheduling Games
   Games can be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or if a team will be short players for a particular date, and they notify the other team in advance of the game being played.
3. Inclement Weather
   In case of inclement weather, team captains are responsible for deciding to call off the game.
               They must decide by 3 pm, the day of the game.
               Team captains will be responsible for notifying all players on the team that the game has been canceled.
              Team captains are responsible for rescheduling the game to a later date. The diamond can be booked through Connect.
   1.    From the homepage, select Get Active.
      1. Then select Ball Dimond
      2. And then click, Book the Ball Diamond.
4. Insufficient Players
   If a team is aware that they will not have at least 10 players for a particular game, and they’ve contacted the opposing team to borrow players, they still won’t have enough. Team captains can notify the opposing team that the game will be rescheduled.
            Team captains must notify the opposing team by 3 pm the day of the game that they don’t have enough players.
            The team captain who didn’t have enough players will be responsible for rescheduling the game with the opposing team and booking the ball diamond.
5. Forfeiting Games
   A game will be forfeited when the following circumstances occur.
        Insufficient Players – the team does not have at least 8 players to start a game by the designated time even after borrowing players from the other team.
      Failure to Show – If a team fails to appear at the game location within 15 to 30 minutes of start time.
      Safety Violations – If a team repeatedly commits actions that are deemed unsafe or significantly against the spirit of the game, they may be forced to forfeit.
      Schedule Limitations – if rescheduled games are not completed by the league’s end date. The team that requested to reschedule due to short players will then forfeit the game. If the game was rescheduled due to inclement weather but hasn’t been played by the league's deadline, a tie will be granted.
   
   ​​​​​​​The consumption of Alcohol while playing slo pitch is prohibited.  The consumption of alcohol in a public place without a permit is against the law. The commissionaires and campus security to regularly police the grounds. If you are caught with alcohol you may be asked to leave the grounds or be ticketed.
