Hockey Regina Regulation has expanded to require all designated roles to maintain a CRC/VSQ and declaration.

5.03 All persons 18 years or older serving in designated roles with Hockey Regina must provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Query (CRC/VSQ) satisfactory to Hockey Regina on a three (3) year basis, unless otherwise required by Hockey Regina, a governing body, insurer, or applicable law. Any applicable cost of obtaining the Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Query is the responsibility of the individual.
CRC’s, via electronic or paper submission, shall be held securely within the Hockey Regina Office or file network under Hockey Regina Information Security and Privacy. Review of CRC content and discretion of acceptable or unacceptable offenses is at the sole discretion of the Hockey Regina Discipline Committee. All Submitted CRC records will be destroyed/deleted upon expiration of their 3-year term.
In each intervening year where a new CRC/VSQ is not required, the individual must submit an Annual Declaration confirming whether there has been any change to their criminal record status since the date of their most recent CRC/VSQ or declaration.
Individuals also have a continuing obligation to immediately advise Hockey Regina of any change in criminal record status (as outlined in regulations) that occurs at any time, including between annual declarations or during the course of a season.
Designated roles requiring a CRC/VSQ for individuals that are 18 years of age or older, include Board member, staff member, Head Coach, Assistant Coach, On Ice Volunteer, Timekeeper, On Ice Official. This is not an exhaustive list, and HRI reserves the right to require a CRC/VSQ of any individual associated with Hockey Regina.
