FAQs:
What's the registration cost? The 2026 Argos fees for the 2026 season is $300 for Bantam, Peewee, and Atom, and $200 for Mites. There is also an $80 fee from Football Nova Scotia and Football Canada which covers membership to them, and their insurance. There is also a small transaction fee for online payments.
How can I pay? We accept cash, cheque, or credit card payments through Teamlinkt.
Can we get funding to cover the registration cost? Short aswer is yes! KidSport JumpStart, and North End Opportunities Fund, are 3 funding programs you can use to pay for your registration fee. If you're going to use one of them, please let us know in the registration form . If you need a different funding option, please tell us. We always want to support people to play regardless of financial barriers.
Does the Gear cost extra? No, the team covers the gear costs for everything except cleats and gloves. This is covered by registration.
When is the season? The Football Nova Scotia Youth Tackle League (FNSYTL) plays in the Fall months (season starts the last week of August, playoffs end in mid-November).
Preparation for the season? We usually begin in July with training once per week, then Training Camp 2-3 times per week. This is also the practice schedule for the rest of the season and playoffs, though there are cancellations and holidays.
When are in-season practice times? In 2026, all teams will practice Monday, Wednesday, Friday. We will have backup bookings for Tuesday and Thursday in case of rainouts MWF. Practice is always 6-8pm on weekdays.
The Teamlinkt App: One parent per family needs to use the Teamlinkt App to see practice locations, and get alerts about schedule changes.
The location for all practices will be generally be on the Halifax Peninsula (e.g. North Commons, South Commons, Merv Sullivant aka THE PIT), or at Mainland Common Turf in Clayton Park.
