The Fundy Minor Football Association (FMFA) is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to fill several important support roles for the upcoming 2025 season. Some positions are available for immediate start, so don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!

We are looking for individuals to fill the following volunteer roles:

  • Tackle Football Division Coordinators

  • Winter & Spring League Flag Football Coordinator

  • Flag Football Tournament Chairperson for the East Coast Games on June 20-22, 2025

  • Young Officials Coordinator

  • Area Football Coordinators for Sussex and St. Stephen

Each role is crucial in supporting our programs and helping to grow youth football in the region. Whether you have experience in coordinating leagues and tournaments, mentoring new officials, or expanding sports programming to new areas, we have a role for you!

Highlights of each role include:

  • Young Officials Coordinator: Support and mentor new referees, coordinate training sessions, and help develop the next generation of officials.

  • League & Tournament Leadership: Assist in organizing games, tournaments, and player registration to ensure a successful season.

  • Area Development: Work with local coordinators to bring football programming to Sussex and St. Stephen, expanding the reach of FMFA in the community.

FMFA Board Vacancy: Vice President (2-Year Term) Starting February 2025!

The Fundy Minor Football Association is seeking a dedicated Vice President to join our Board for a 2-year term beginning in February 2025. This role is a fantastic opportunity to help shape youth football in our community!

? Role: Association Vice- President (2-year term)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Support: Assist in strategic planning and program development for FMFA.
  • Disciplinary Committee Oversight: Lead the Disciplinary Committee to ensure fair and consistent handling of conduct-related matters.
  • Coach Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all coaches meet league requirements, including completing background checks and required certifications.
  • NCCP Compliance: Work closely with the Regional Technical Director to ensure all coaches meet NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) requirements.
  • Document Management: Collect and manage essential documentation for coaches to maintain compliance standards.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to youth sports, community engagement, and organizational integrity
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership or administrative role is a plus

    The Fundy Minor Football Association is seeking an organized and dedicated association registrar to join our board for a 2-year term beginning in February 2025. This role is key in supporting our players, coaches, and families by overseeing registration processes and documentation for all FMFA programs.

     Role: Association Vice- President (2-year term)

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Player & Coach Registration: Manage all aspects of registration, ensuring all participants complete necessary forms and meet eligibility requirements.
  • Documentation Management: Collect and organize essential documents, such as birth certificates, insurance details, and consent forms for players, as well as background checks and certifications for coaches.
  • Collaboration with Executive Board: Work closely with the executive board to support all programming and ensure smooth operations across the association.
  • Financial Coordination: Partner with the Association Treasurer to manage payments, invoicing, and provide regular financial updates related to registration and programming fees.
  • Form Creation: Develop and manage forms for registrations, special events, and other FMFA programming needs.
  • Data Accuracy & Privacy: Maintain secure, accurate records for all participants, adhering to privacy and data protection standards.

  • Ability to manage databases and handle sensitive information
  • Commitment to supporting youth sports and community involvement

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Don’t just cheer, be a volunteer!  FMFA would not function without a dedicated group of volunteers who help with running the programs, managing the teams, coaching the kids, or simply helping on game days.

Fundy Minor Football Association  is always looking for assistance to support and grow minor football in our community.  To help us keep participation costs low, it is crucial that we get support from all our members. FMFA’ s success is directly related to the number of volunteers and volunteer hours we get from our membership.
There are many opportunities to volunteer each season, such as:

  • Board of Directors
  • Head Coach/Assistant Coach
  • Division Coordinators
  • Team Managers
  • Game Day Managers
  • Stick Crew and timers 
  • Fundraising or Registration Events

On game days, during both flag and tackle seasons, there are volunteer jobs that parents and caregivers can help with such as field set up and take down, clean up, commissioner/play counter, and stick crew.
