Board Member Position Description

Fields Director

Background and History:

The Forest Lake Youth Lacrosse Board is a sub-group of the Forest Lake Athletic Association (FLAAA) and serves as a 5013C non-profit organization independent of the public-school system to provide athletic opportunities for students in the areas of Baseball, Basketball, Fastpitch, Football, Lacrosse, T-Ball, and Volleyball.

The Forest Lake Youth Lacrosse Board oversees all planning and activities specifically related to youth lacrosse for girls and boys between ages 7-15.

Fields Director

Term: Elected/Appointed to the FL Lax Board with a 2-year term running November to October.  

Position Summary:

The Fields Director is accountable for securing, scheduling, and communicating information for both indoor and outdoor practice and game fields.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain all field (indoor and outdoor) use permits.
  • Schedule practice times for all teams and levels.
  • Work with coaches to determine acceptable practice times / frequency.
  • Monitor League game schedules and modify practice schedule as needed.
  • Schedule try-out times / locations.
  • Communicate field closures to teams and board
  • Provide all invoices to the Treasurer in a timely manner for payment.
  • Coordination of painting and field preparation.

Estimated Monthly Time Commitment:

  • Jan - Aug - 4 hours/month
  • Sept - Dec -2 hours / month
