Head Coach: Sharlene Speers
Sharlene has been passionate about volleyball her entire life. As a student-athlete, she helped her team win two provincial high school championships and played for two seasons with the Southeastern Alberta Volleyball Club (SEAVC). Her success earned her a scholarship to play for the Medicine Hat College Rattlers, where she competed as a right-side attacker. She continued playing competitive women’s and co-ed volleyball for many years before stepping away to raise her four children.
Her love of the game came full circle when her daughter developed an interest in volleyball, leading Sharlene back to the court as an assistant coach for two seasons. Now, with two daughters actively involved in the sport and playing in their second year with the CVC Kodiaks, she is excited to serve as head coach for her younger daughter’s team.
