Treasurer

  • Responsibilities
    • Maintain accurate financial records and club accounts
    • Prepare annual budget and financial reports
    • Monitor income, expenses, and reimbursements
    • Ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements
    • Support grant applications, sponsorships, and fundraising
  • Terms of Office
    • Elected
    • 3 years (renewable)
  • Required Competencies
    • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Familiarity with spreadsheets or accounting software
    • Ability to work collaboratively with the board
    • Knowledge of non-profit governance

Directors-At-Large

  • Responsibilities:
    • Contribute to board discussions and strategic planning
    • Support various committees or initiatives as needed
    • Represent member interests and uphold the club’s mission
    • Assist with events, policy development, and special projects
  • Terms of Office:
    • Appointed by the Board
    • 2- years (renewable)

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • General understanding of non-profit or youth sports operations
    • Willingness to contribute time and support where needed

Operations Team

Communications Lead

  • Responsibilities
    • Manage club communications (email, social media, website)
    • Promote events, programs, and news to members and the public
    • Support branding and consistent messaging
    • Collaborate with other board members on outreach
  • Commitment
    • 1–2 years (renewable)
  • Required Competencies
    • Strong writing and digital communication skills
    • Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook)
    • Basic design or web-editing skills an asset (e.g., Canva)
    • Organized and responsive to communication needs

Tournament Committee Chair

  • Responsibilities
    • Lead planning and logistics for CVC-hosted tournaments
    • Coordinate volunteers, venues, equipment, and schedules
    • Liaise with teams, officials, and Volleyball Alberta as needed
    • Ensure a positive experience for athletes and spectators
  • Commitment
    • 1 season (renewable)
  • Required Competencies
    • Strong event planning and coordination skills
    • Ability to manage timelines, tasks, and people
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
    • Comfortable communicating with multiple stakeholders

Fundraising & Sponsorship Lead

  • Responsibilities
    • Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities and events
    • Build and maintain relationships with local sponsors
    • Manage sponsorship tiers and recognition
    • Support grant applications and donor outreach
  • Commitment
    • 1–2 years (renewable)
  • Required Competencies
    • Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building
    • Creative thinking for fundraising strategies
    • Organized and able to track contributions and commitments
    • Passion for supporting youth sports


Coaching Staff

U12 Assistant Coach

  • Responsibilities
    • Support the head coach in planning and running practices
    • Encourage fun, teamwork, and skill development
    • Help supervise players during training and events
    • Promote a positive, respectful learning environment
