"Meeting Your Coaching Requirements: A Guide to Leading Your Team to Success"

Hey coaches! Are you looking to complete your coaching requirements? It's important to make sure you have all the necessary qualifications to lead your team to success. To be a coach, you'll need to complete a background check, obtain CPR certification, and complete coaching education courses.

Don't forget to stay up-to-date on any changes in regulations or certifications needed to coach. Get ready to hit the field and inspire your team!

HEAD COACH and ASSISTANT COACHES:

  • Be USA Lacrosse (USAL) member with membership active through June of the Spring season.
  • Undergo and pass a NCSI background check prior to participation/practice through USA Lacrosse. Background checks take 3-5 business days to clear. Instructions here
  • Follow RCW 28A.600.190 (Zachery Lystedt Law).
  • Sign and abide by the Coaches Code of Conduct
  • Be at least 21 years old (head coach) and a high school graduate. 
  • Maintain current/valid CPR and First Aid cards (at least 1 coach per team)

HEAD COACH ONLY:

  • Must be a Bronze Level Certified Coach at a minimum through USA Lacrosse, which requires the following additional trainings:
  • Cultural Competency
  • Abuse Prevention
  • Concussion Awareness
  • Cardiac Care
  • Annual Rules Test
