Respect in Sports

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders is a required training program for all registered coaches and team personnel of provincial sport governing bodies in Saskatchewan. Respect in Sport (RiS) for Activity Leaders is a tool designed to assist leaders in identifying and responding to abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying.  RiS certificates expire after 5 years, at this time current coaches and team personnel must re-certify.

Make Ethical Decisions (MED)

By successfully completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training, coaches will be fully equipped to handle ethical situations with confidence. MED is a requirement for coaches from the FUNdamentals coaching workshop through to the A Licence workshop.

Making Headway in Soccer (MHW)

Concussions can occur while participating in any sport or recreation activity. Since the circumstances under which a concussion can be sustained are so varied, it's important for all coaches, parents/coaches/guardians, and athletes to be aware of the signs, symptoms, and what to do if a concussion occurs. The MHW E-learning modules teach how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion, and how to respond.

Background Screening

All coaches will need to complete an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).  E-PIC can be starting by selecting the option when you register to coach with YUFC.

Cultural Awareness in Youth Sport

Sport offers many opportunities to meet people and learn about various cultures. This course on Cultural Awareness in Youth Sport examines the basic concept of culture and provides sport leaders with practical ways to model cultural awareness to youth players.
