Maryland Shock is a competitive local travel basketball team dedicated to player development and growth both on and off the court. Our program emphasizes skill-building, teamwork, and basketball IQ by consistently challenging our athletes against higher-level teams, we create an environment that pushes players to elevate their game, preparing them for the next level of play. At Maryland Shock, our mission is to develop well-rounded athletes with strong fundamentals, confidence, and a passion for the game. These teams will compete in the Carroll County Travel Basketball League (CCTBL). 

2026/2027 Teams

Boys Grade 3/4 - Coach Lance Blazek  ** Depending on numbers this could become a seperate boys 3rd and 4th grade team.
Boys Grade 6 - Coach JJ Blazek 
Boys Grade 7  - Coach Kristie Kay

Girls Grade 3 - TBD
Girls Grade 4 - Jess Paraway
Girls Grade 5 - Coach Jimmy Plank and Brian Taylor
Girls Grade 6 - Coach Jeff Johnson
Girls Grade 7 - Coach Brian Taylor & Matt Cornelius

Each team will hold two evenings of tryouts.  Any player interested in trying out MUST attend at least one session.
