Winfield Recreation Basketball is a community-focused program dedicated to fostering teamwork, promoting healthy competition, and supporting the physical, social, and emotional development of all participants. Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where players of all skill levels can learn and grow.
Program Highlights:
- Skill Development: Through structured practices and games, we emphasize teaching the fundamentals and rules of basketball, ensuring players understand not just how to play, but why the game is played a certain way.
- Sportsmanship: Equally important is our focus on sportsmanship—instilling values of respect, fairness, and integrity. Players are encouraged to support their teammates, show respect to opponents and officials, and handle both victory and defeat with grace.
- Inclusive Environment: We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where players of all skill levels can learn and grow.
Winfield Basketball is a program which operates under the direction of the Winfield Recreation Council, a non-profit 501(c)3, and in cooperation with the Carroll County (Maryland) Department of Recreation & Parks to provide recreation opportunities in the Winfield and surrounding area.
