Learn to play - welcome to small fries!

The Weston Small Fries Development program was founded in 2019 by Weston Minor Hockey League to help new to hockey families reduce barriers to learning to play hockey. 

Weston Small Fries offers 10 weeks of on-ice learn to play sessions, before transitioning our Small Fries players to a traditional house league model (one game and one practice per week).
Registration also includes a complete equipment package: helmet, neckguard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, pants, jock or jill short, shin pads, skates, stick and hockey bag.

Each registrant also receives a Small Fries jersey and socks. 

Small Fries is designed for ages U7 and below. All skating skill levels welcome. 

Our 2026/2027 Small Fries season will run from October 2026 to March 2027 and will run out of Amesbury Arena, Lambton Arena and/or Chris Tonks Arena.
