Following the closure of Weston Lions Arena, Weston Minor Hockey will pause offering House League hockey for the 2026/2027 season and instead focus on Learn to Play (LTP) known by it’s program name “Small Fries” in ode to Weston Lions Arena’s famous fries.  

Weston Small Fries is a development program aimed to ease barriers to learning to play hockey by offering full equipment and 10 weeks of learn to play on-ice sessions before transitioning to a traditional House League model (one game, one practice each week) in January.  

What does this mean?

As Small Fries is intended as a one year program for those aged 4 to 7 years old and who are brand new to hockey (all skating levels), all other Weston Minor players, including our 2025/2026 Small Fries, are being encouraged to join Warren Park Hockey House League U7 to U18.

Although Warren Park Hockey will still offer a U7 division next season (2020 & 2021 born), those new to hockey are encouraged to register for Weston’s Small Fries program.
