Get ready to hit the ice and kick off the season with a bang! Trails West is thrilled to announce the return of our annual Back-To-Hockey Bash, taking place over Labour Day Weekend – September 4–7, 2026 at the Flames Community Arenas.

We are excited to introduce a new format for the 2026 Back to Hockey Bash! Teams will be balanced evenly, and friend requests may be submitted provided they are mutually reciprocated.

This fun-filled tournament features a 3-vs-3 format for U7 to U9 players and a 4-vs-4 format for U11 to U13 players registered for the 2026–2027 season. Don’t miss your chance to kick off the season with excitement, energy, and unforgettable memories!

what's new for 2026

Teams will be created evenly to ensure competitive and fun play.

Friend requests are accepted, but must be mutually reciprocated during registration.

U11 and U13 teams will play on full ice.

Goalies are welcome in U11 and U13 divisions.

U7 and U9 teams will play on half ice.

REFUND POLICYRefunds will incur a $25 non-refundable administrative fee. Refund requests will only be considered if submitted before teams are rostered on TeamLinkt.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
  • Teams consists of 7-12 players.
  • A maximum of 4 teams per age group.
  • Teams will be finalized after registration closes.
  • All U7-U9 teams play games on half ice.
  • U11- U13–teams will play on full ice with goalies.
Note: Age divisions may be combined depending on registration numbers.
RULES
  • No coaches or referees
  • One parent volunteer required for U7 and U9 teams
  • Line changes every 90 seconds
  • Teams keep their own score
  • If a team scores, all players must tag up, and the puck is turned over to the opposing team
  • If the score differential is more than 5 goals, the team with fewer points can add a player until the difference in goals is less than 5
  • No body checking
  • Music, fun, and enthusiasm!!
