The Super Soccer League (SSL) was founded in 2021 to provide a competitive, semi-professional soccer platform in Maryland built on four principles: passion, excellence, democracy, and media coverage. From its first season, SSL set itself apart by treating grassroots soccer with professional standards—highlighting every match, every result, and every story.

The league quickly grew, introducing promotion and relegation between Division 1 and Division 2, annual Super Cups, and seasonal awards. Clubs are judged not only by results, but also by how they represent the game and their communities.

Looking ahead, SSL is committed to expanding opportunities for players, building rivalries, and strengthening its presence as Maryland’s home for ambitious soccer.
