STING AA REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2025–2026 SEASON

Deadline to Register: June 30, 2025

All players interested in trying out for the 2025–2026 Sturgeon Sting AA program must be registered and have submitted the $200 tryout fee by the deadline.

STING REGISTRATION FEES

Each season, the Sturgeon Hockey Club Executive prepares and approves an operating budget for the Sting AA program to ensure we continue delivering an exceptional hockey experience...

This fee adjustment is a direct response to consistent feedback from our Sting families, who’ve expressed a strong desire to see the program grow, improve, and compete with other hockey options...

Registration fees are based on projected program expenses and resources. For the 2025–2026 season, this includes a $200 increase for U11 AA through U15 AA, and a $300 increase for U18 AA. We believe in full transparency and are proud to share what is included:

FIRST-TIME STING PLAYERS

First-time Sting players must upload digital copies of the following documents during registration:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Current Utility Bill (proof of address)
  • Parent/Guardian Declaration
  • Respect in Sport Certification

Failure to provide complete documentation will result in an incomplete registration.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

There are two options for payment within TEAM LINKT:

Option 1: Full payment within 7 days of final team selection.
Option 2: Payment plan with all fees due by November 30, 2025.

  • Note: SHC no longer accepts cheques for Registration Fees.
  • All registration fees must be paid in full by November 30, 2025.
  • Additional team fees may be added and must be paid by October 31. Players may be removed if not paid.

REFUND POLICY

All tryout fees are non-refundable.

All player registration fees include a $150.00 non-refundable administration fee that covers credit card fees and admin costs.

A full refund (minus admin fee) will be given only if a player withdraws before tryouts begin.

If a player withdraws during evaluations, an additional $150.00 evaluation fee will be retained.

No refunds will be issued after evaluations are complete and teams are formed.

If a player makes another team during second tryouts, a full refund will be issued (unless SHC evaluations were attended).

Players withdrawing after the season begins must still pay full team cash call & fundraising amounts. Failure to do so affects good standing with SHC and may delay releases/transfers.

Additional team fees may be added by the Head Coach after team formation and must be paid by October 31. Players may be removed until these are paid in full.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We believe every child deserves the chance to participate in sports, regardless of financial barriers. If you need help covering registration fees, Canadian Tire Jumpstart and KidSport offer financial assistance to qualifying families.

Eligibility is based on household income and proof of need. Each program has its own application process.
