Overview
Sioux Falls Sixes is a recreational lacrosse league that is designed for players of all skill levels, to introduce and grow lacrosse in Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls Sixes aimes to provide a fun, competitive, and engaging experience for youth and adult players. The league will offer organized games, skill development, and a community-centered atmosphere. The goal is to foster the love of the sport, create local competition, and offer an enjoyable experience for players, coaches, and spectators alike.

What is sixes?
"Sixes is an incredibly fast-paced, compact version of lacrosse, combining the most exciting elements of the more traditional disciplines. It is characterized by an accelerated, open style of play with quick transitions and non-stop, high-scoring action.
It was created in 2018 to accelerate global growth, increase accessibility and approachability, create greater competitive balance, and reduce cost and complexity of participation and event staging. It is the next generation version of the game.
A natural evolution of the sport, sixes is at the intersection of field and box lacrosse, offering an inclusionary opportunity to all existing lacrosse players and an easier entry point for new athletes.
Sixes eliminates specialty positions that lead to competitive imbalance, features a level of physicality that is equally appealing to both men and women, and has reduced equipment and venue needs." - World Lacrosse
dates
- July 9th - September 3rd
-Practice will be held the first 5 dates schedulded.
- The last 8 scheduled dates will be games.
- Flex-6/Micros will be on Wednesday evenings.

- High School (8th-12th Grade)
- U14 (7th/8th Grade)
-U12 (5th/6th Grade)
-U10 (3rd/4th Grade)
-Flex-6 / Micro (K/1st/2nd grade)
*2nd grades are allowed to play in the U10 division by request*
- All teams will have a max number of 12 players (11 runners and 1 goalie) per team.
Where
All games and practices will be at two locations depending on availability.
- Sanford Crossing - Fields 3 or 4
- No travel required.

Flex-6/Micro - $99
To keep lacrosse afforable for everyone we have rental gear available for the seaon for a small fee.
Rental Equipment Fee - $50
Equipment
Boys - Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Elbow Pads, Shoulder Pads, and Mouthguard.
Girls- Stick, Goggles, and Mouthguard.
Goalie (Both)- Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Chest Pad, Throat Guard, and Mouthguard.
- Please wear cleats or athletic shoes.
- Full equipment is required.
- All players will receive a reversible pinnie/jersey and stick with registration.

Coaching
- Any parents or volunteers from the community that would like to coach, please contact cooper@siouxfallsymca.org for more information.
- All coaches will receive proper training in lacrosse instuction.
