At the Sioux Falls YMCA, we believe in the power of sports to build character, foster teamwork, and promote healthy living. Our youth sports programs provide opportunities for boys and girls of all ages to stay active, develop skills, and make new friends. The Sioux Falls YMCA Lacrosse program is dedicated to making the sport of lacrosse accessible and enjoyable for all individuals, regardless of background or experience. The program’s mission is to ensure that every interested player has the opportunity to participate, learn, and grow in the sport. The vision is to create a consistantly growing community where everyone, from beginners to advanced players, can enjoy and compete in lacrosse in Sioux Falls.

The Thunderbirds are a club/travel team that focuses on developing the area’s best players while giving them the opportunity to train and compete against the best teams around the Great Plains and the Midwest.

Sixes is our recreational league. It is a great format to encourage free flowing, creative, and well rounded lacrosse players. With Sixes being 6 v. 6 (5 players and a goalie), it combines field and indoor lacrosse to produce a high tempo, up and down game.
For More Information
Flex-6 is our introductory program for boys and girls to learn and develop the basic fundamentals and skills needed to play the game. It is an affordable, inclusive, non-travel way to introduce kids into lacrosse.
