Mites

The Mites program is designed to develop the fundementals of the sport for all players in a safe evironment. The game format is 6 a side and is played on 1 of 3 fields marked out across a standard canadian football field. The game itself is played in what a lot of people describe as "Armoured Flag". The players are taught all aspects of the game running, passing, catching, blocking, tackling but do not use the tackling portion in game. Instead they have flag belts and the stoppage of play is treated the same as flag football with the flag being removed from the ball carrier.  All players get a chance to play multiple positions through out the season letting them find the position they enjoy or fit better into.
