- Respectful, inclusive, and supportive teammate; contribute to a positive team culture
- Proactive and constructive communication with coaches and teammates
COMMITMENT
- Attendance is a top priority, barring extenuating circumstances (e.g., non-flexible work/school commitments, illness, family emergency)
- Full investment in all team training and activities
- Self-motivation and independence to engage in high performance training and lifestyle
- Heat training and competition must be prioritized in the event of coaching conflicts; due to competition overlap with A/AA tournaments, recommend giving back in the other divisions

- Ringette-specific training program is required (i.e., phased and tailored to season schedule), including commitment to an off-season training program and arriving at tryouts in shape
- Strive to meet Ringette Canada’s fitness targets

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Plan and attend events involving younger athletes (e.g., Come Try Ringette, autograph sessions)

- Engage in other activities aimed at promoting the Heat
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
- Athlete fees are estimated to be $5000-$5800 (not including transportation costs), but this amount is expected to decrease with sponsorships and fundraising. In past seasons, this has amounted to as much as $2000/athlete, which if achieved this season would make teams fees around $3000-$4000.
- High performance programs are generally expensive to run, particularly in a travel league like the NRL. Team staff will strive to reduce expenses where possible, without compromising program standards around competition and training, while sponsorship and fundraising efforts to reduce team fees are expected to be athlete-driven with coach/manager support.
- Monthly payments must be on time, unless permission for an extension has been granted, in order to remain in good standing
