Welcome to the 2025/26 season! Whether you're interested in playing for the Heat as a full-time roster member, an AP while playing open/university, or a U19AA athlete hoping to get a feel for the NRL level, we have an option for you!
FULL-TIME ATHLETES
- Must be 19 years old by Dec 31, 2025
- Must participate in tryouts and be able to meet expectations outlined below
- Must be 19 years old by Dec 31, 2025
- Priority will be given to athletes who attend tryouts
- Athletes selected for an AP spot will have the opportunity to attend select practices, with game play opportunities dependent on season demands (not guaranteed)
U19AA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM *
- Must be 18 years old by Dec 31, 2025 (third year U19)
- Priority will be given to athletes who attend tryouts
- Athletes selected for the program will have the opportunity to attend select practices to get their feet in the water at the NRL level
* Athletes who are interested in being an AP or in the U19 program but are unable to attend tryouts: please contact the coaching staff at heatcoach@ringettesask.com
- Average of 2 practice hours per week, predominantly scheduled on weekends through day/weekend camps in Saskatoon, Regina, or meet in the middle location such as Davidson
- Occassional center-specific or meet in the middle practices during the week (e.g. Davidson)
- Athletes are expected to be available for training and competition from tryouts (Sep 6 & 7) to Dec 14 for the first half; and from Jan 3/4 to Apr 4 (nationals) for the second half
COMPETITION OVERVIEW
- Typically 1 weekend hub per month between October and March, taking place across western Canada
- Nationals: March 29 - April 4 in Ottawa
