Saint Agatha Athletics Coaching Requirements

- Attend VIRTUS
- Register at virtusonline.org.
- Click the "First-time registrant" button on the left-hand side to create an account, or log in with your user ID and password if you previously created an account.
- Select "Columbus, OH (Diocese)" in the drop-down menu. ST AGATHA IS HOSTING THIS REQUIRED CLASS ON SEPTEMBER 12th, 2024. 6-9pm
- *NOTE: Assistant coaches who are 16 & 17 years old are not required to complete VIRTUS
- Obtain a background check (BCI). Recommend using Fast Fingerprints. All reports must be sent directly from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to: Safe Environment Program - Diocese of Columbus 197 E. Gay St. Columbus OH 43215
For parish or Catholic School volunteers who have been legal residents of Ohio for more than 5 consecutive years, you will need to complete state level background check through the BCI, use code: ORC 2151.86
For parish or Catholic School volunteers who have been legal residents of Ohio for less than 5 consecutive years, you will need to complete both a state level background check through the BCI and a national level background check through the FBI, use code: ORC 2151.86
- Complete the Concussion Awareness Course (15 min)
- This must be renewed every three years. View the NFHS Concussion Awareness Course for more information on the program.
- Complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) training (15 min)
- This must be viewed every year. View the SCAT video now and download the information sheet.
