IMPORTANT NOTES
- SMHC has a deadline of 15th for December for certification.
- December 15th is the Hockey New Brusnwick deadline for certification. On this date un-certified individuals will be removed from the bench and ice, NO exceptions. Team managers will be notified of those coaches immediately.
- All Bench/Ice Staff are required to provide a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Head Coaches/Managers are responsible to make sure that no un-certified person is on the bench or ice after December 15th.
- NEW Coaches at the U7 and U9 level must take the Level 1- Intro to Coaching. There is both an online portion and a classroom portion.
- SAFETY PERSON is required to complete the HNB E-Hockey Safety course, and are not permitted on the ice for practice other than to attend to an injured person. To be on the ice staff must have all the proper Coach Requirements. All HNB registered minor hockey teams must have a bench staff member that has successfully completed the Hockey Canada Safety Program. Their certification will expire five years after the date of the program certification course.
