VOLUNTEER SCREENING
All District 8 volunteer managers and coaches must complete screening in accordance with Little League regulations, and the requirements of our insurance, provided through the Western Canada Amateur Baseball Foundation.
We require all volunteers to please submit the documents listed below:
1. POLICE INFORMATION CHECK WITH VULNERABLE SECTOR SEARCH
(A) If you have a recently completed, clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, please forward a copy.
NOTE: Police Checks are valid for one year from date on the document and then a new Police Check must be obtained and submitted.
(B) If not, first step is to please request a volunteer letter from District 8.
Once you receive the letter, go online and submit a request for a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search through the Calgary Police Service at https://www.policesolutions.ca/checks/services/calgary/index.php. If you reside outside the City of Calgary, you must go to your local RCMP detachment to apply.
The cost with a volunteer letter is $25.00, and upon successful return of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, please submit the receipt and you will be reimbursed for the fee.
In certain cases, individuals will be required to make an appointment and attend in person to have fingerprints done, there is a further fee to get this completed. Same as above, obtain a receipt and submit for reimbursement upon successful return of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
2. CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION TRAINING
Little League Abuse Awareness Training
This course generates a certificate of completion which must be submitted
This course must be completed on a yearly basis

5. LITTLE LEAGUE DIAMOND LEADER TRAINING
For managers and coaches participating in Tournament Play, please complete the online Diamond Leader training program
This course generates a certificate of completion which must be submitted
6. LITTLE LEAGUE CANADA VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
