Louisiana Flag Football is one of Louisiana’s leading youth flag football organizations. We serve boys and girls through structured youth flag football programs and also offer a cheerleading program for girls who want to participate in the game-day experience from the sideline.

Louisiana Flag Football exists to create positive opportunities for kids through sports. We believe youth sports should build more than athletic ability. It should teach discipline, accountability, teamwork, confidence, and respect.

What Is Flag Football?

Flag football is a non-contact version of football where players wear flags attached to a belt. Instead of tackling, defenders stop the play by pulling the ball carrier’s flag.

This allows players to learn the fundamentals of football in a safer, fast-paced, and skill-focused environment.

Co-Ed Flag Football

Our co-ed flag football league is designed for players of all skill levels. The environment is fun, competitive, organized, and focused on development.

Players get the opportunity to learn football fundamentals, compete in weekly games, build friendships, and experience a complete youth sports season with team identity, uniforms, standings, recognition, and championship opportunities.

Cheerleading Program

Louisiana Flag Football also offers a cheerleading program for girls who want to participate in the game-day atmosphere.

The cheer program gives participants the opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, rhythm, leadership, and school spirit while supporting players on the field.

Louisiana Flag Football typically operates multiple seasons throughout the year.

Team Formation

Louisiana Flag Football uses a structured team formation process to help create a fair and organized season.

Depending on the season, this may include player evaluations, coach draft procedures, geographic grouping, coach protections, and roster balancing.

The goal is to create teams that are as balanced and competitive as possible while keeping the process transparent and inclusive.

Every registered player is included unless otherwise stated for a specific program.

Louisiana Flag Football is a non-contact league.
