It’s been a busy couple of days, and we are already seeing the waitlist enacted for U18 and U15.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. We introduce caps based on the number of players from the previous season, and once those numbers are reached, we introduce a waitlist for U13, U15 and U18. Once we have enough on the waitlist we will open up more teams and take more registrations.
It’s very important to register even if you get put on a waitlist. We will always endeavor to place every girl on a Comets team if we can.
Still looking for answers about our U13, U15, U18 waitlist? Dive into our FAQs below for more information:
- Why have a Waitlist? Our goal is always to take as many registrations as possible but we also need to provide a positive hockey experience for all. Controlling the number of registrations allows us to comply with Hockey Canada Regulations on roster sizes, as well as avoid problems of having too large or too small of a roster.
- When will I hear more? Our team will be monitoring numbers throughout the Registration period, and once your daughter is removed from the waitlist you will receive a notification from TeamLinkt with instructions for how to proceed.
- Should I register with another team? As per SMHA Regulations female players may not be registered with the Comets and with another SMHA zone - if by chance we do not open enough spots for all players, we will work with players and the SMHA to find them a place to play.
