Hello Comet families, we are a few weeks ahead of time with our call for registrations for our conditioning camp.  As many of you are aware, the Huskies are hosting the National Championships March 14-17, 2024.  Coach Steve has asked that we be organized, scheduled and ready to roll into the 23-24 season as he has a full season plan set out to prepare his squad  to compete with the best in the nation on championship weekend.

 

For the 6th year in a row, we are once again excited to provide an opportunity for your daughter to spend some time on the ice with Coach Steve Kook and his players and staff while he prepares for the 2022-23 Women’s Huskie Hockey season.  Coach Steve and his crew have a low player to instructor ratio with a multitude of Women’s Huskie Players on the ice with our players in addition to his assistant coaches.  The zone and the Huskies have received an abundance of positive feedback from the last five seasons and expect to have another great year of tune-up sessions!

 

This year’s camp will be held at Hamm/Latrace arena August 18-21st weekend. The evaluation dates for these 3 age groups have moved up earlier in September due to Hockey Sask’s deadlines for team formation.  The girls in this camp will receive 3 hours of on-ice conditioning drills over the course of 3 separate days (Please see the proposed schedule below).

 

This year’s camp is open to all Comets that are registered in  U13, U15 and U18. (U9 and U11 Huskies/Stars run pre-skates will be open to all at no cost and dates will be announced soon)  With registration numbers ever growing in the Comets program, we anticipate that the camp will be filled very quickly (plus waiting lists).  Last year many age groups filled within 3 days so please register ASAP so as to not be disappointed!  Cost for camp will be $135. (refunds only provided in the event that a replacement is on the waiting list) Proceeds go to the Comets Huskie Women’s Hockey Scholarship which is paid out to eligible Comets and Hockey Saskatchewan players that are playing Huskie Women’s Hockey each year.

• U18 - Midget - 2006, 2007, 2008
