THE LADY BULLSNAKES STAGE ANOTHER HIGH PERFORMANCE
The Lady Bullsnakes stage another high performance, yet again against the defending champs, Las Vegas Empress—This time, in front of a sold out home crowd. The lead went back and forth throughout the game. The Lady Bullsnakes went down a whopping 19 points in the 3rd quarter— it seemed as if the Empress had set a stage for a large point gap between themselves and New Mexico Lady Bullsnakes. As the 4th quarter advanced, Lady Bullsnakes Head Coach (Aaryon “Bird” Williams) pushed the fight with rotating players for point production as the New Mexico pro women’s team continued their season long woes of struggling from behind the arc—The first season coach was able to find light at the end of tunnel in 4 starters, (Aisia Robertson, Antiesha Brown, NiAsia McIntosh, and Regina Okoye,) and new comer, former UNM player and overseas pro, Nike McClure. The 5 worked down Empress’ lead to 5 within the last minutes of the game. With very little time left on the clock, newly recognized starter, NiAsia McIntosh sinks a deep 3 to put the Lady Bullsnakes within 3 points of tying the game. McIntosh found more open space to take the lead with another long 3 pointer—Barely missing the mark. The Las Vegas Empress were able to make 2 free throws, winning the game by 4 points(76-80).
