TORONTO, ONTARIO, June 20, 2025 – The Toronto Argonauts Alumni Association is proudly teaming up with Football Toronto to boost the impactful Argos Helmet Bank Program, an exciting initiative dedicated to ensuring safe, accessible football opportunities for young athletes across Toronto. In response to Football Toronto’s recent donation campaign, the Argos Alumni have enthusiastically stepped forward with significant contributions, reinforcing their commitment to community support and youth sports safety.
Initially launched in 2022 through a groundbreaking partnership with the Toronto Argonauts Football Club, the Argos Helmet Bank Program loans quality helmets to high school and community football teams. Operated on a unique "use it or lose it" basis, the program fully covers the cost of helmets throughout their 10-year lifespan, having already distributed over 400 helmets to more than 20 local teams. This innovative approach ensures safety, removes financial barriers, and encourages greater youth participation in football.

"Promoting safety and removing barriers in youth sports perfectly aligns with our mission to enrich the community. We believe every child deserves the chance to play football safely and confidently."
