GAME FORMAT & RULES

• 1-minute intermisison after periods 1 and 3.
• 3-minute half-time break after period 2 (5-minutes for Sportmen's League)
• Switch to stopped time for whistles in the last minute of play of periods 1, 2 and 3.
• Switch to stopped time for whistles and made baskets in the last 2-minutes of play of the 4th period.

• In the last 2-minutes of the 4th period, if the point spread is within 20-points, a referee will verbally call out a 20-second shot clock time.
• For example, "Shoot by 1 minute, 40 seconds."
• Ideally, the count should be called and tracked by the referee who is facing the score clock.

• In the event of a tie score after regulation time, play will continue immediately (no intermission) with a 2-minute OT period with stopped time for whistles and made baskets as well as a 20-second shot clock.
• Each team will have one BALL ADVANCE ONLY time out available.

• The 8-second back court count is fast... Get that ball up the floor!
• If the shot clock is below 14-seconds, it resets back up to 14-seconds when fouls and violations occur and stay in the front court.

Discipline... For the LOVE of the GAME!
We want everyone to have fun out there. This include our players, spectators and officials!

Speactators... We want you to be able to enjoy the game and encourage you to cheer on your favorite teams and players. However, if you're behaviour is negative, causes a distraction or is threatening in any manner towards other spectators, players and/or officials, you will be asked to leave. The game will not be restarted until you have complied by leaving the fieldhouse area completely.

Players... If you are offensive, rude or threatening to any official, player or spectator, our officials are encouraged to assess Technical and Flagrant Fouls up to discualifying you from a game to bring innappropriate behaviour back in line.

If you get a combination of two Technical or Flagrant Fouls in the same game or a disqialfying foul, you are ejected from that game. Please pack up an leave the field house IMMEDIATELY so the game can commence. The game will not be restarted until you have complied.

Compile three Technical Fouls within the season... Miss the next game. Compile five Technical Fouls... Miss another game. For every Technical Foul after your fifth, you will sit another game and ultimately we will be having a chat about whether this league is the right one for you to play in.

Extra scrutiny will also be paid to Flagrant Fouls that risk injury to another player. Such fouls have absolutel no place in our game and can lead to expulsion from a game, and even expulsion from the League depending on the severity of the act.
