ACADIA FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM (U10 + U13 + U16 + U18) – UPDATED 2026
The Jr. Acadia Flag Football Program is a non-contact recreational flag football program organized and run by Football Nova Scotia (FNS). All age divisions will be supported by experienced coaches, with a focus on developing player skills while introducing competition. Players will participate in weekly skill development sessions and, after the initial sessions, transition into gameplay. During the first few sessions, players will meet coaches and teammates, learn the fundamentals of flag football, and receive their jerseys. Where?
All practices and games will be held on Raymond Field at Acadia University. If necessary, the Acadia Dykes Fields may be used.
Is the league co-ed?
All divisions in the program are co-ed.
How do the gamedays work?
Each week will include one session focused on skill development and one session dedicated to gameplay (after the initial development period). Games will be run by trained officials.
What does a player need to play in the league?
All players must wear a mouthguard. Solid-coloured shorts or pants without pockets are required, and cleats with plastic or rubber studs are recommended (no metal cleats). Player jerseys, flags, and all other required equipment will be provided.

Registration must be completed online through the Jr. Acadia Flag Football League Player Registration link, available on the homepage.
Once registered, then what?
After registration closes, teams will be organized and coaches assigned. The first sessions will focus on skill development before transitioning into structured gameplay.
What if you will be applying for KidSport or Jumpstart support?
KidSport and Jumpstart funding may be used to offset program costs. Please apply through their respective websites.
Can you register after the deadline?
Late registration is not guaranteed once registration has closed.
What if a player decides they don't like flag football, can you get a refund?
