Family Friendly Policy

Welcome to a great spring of soccer playing and fun!  Family Friendly Soccer League is an organization run by volunteers. Winning is not our #1 priority.  We place an emphasis on co-operation, learning , fun and good sportsmanship.

Our coaches and referees are all volunteers.  We are grateful for their willingness to volunteer and they appreciate your respect.  The decisions of the referee are final and comments from the spectators during the game will not be entertained.  As parents, we really encourage you to remain at the games with your child and to set a friendly, encouraging atmosphere.

Practice time is BEFORE scheduled games, so be prepared to come 1/2 hour early.

For field closures due to rain (or other) the coaches will inform the team. Any questions that you have should be directed to your coach or coordinator.

Enjoy the season!!!

Family Friendly Soccer Policies regarding players:

Only children registered with Family Friendly Soccer may play.

Seven players are required on a team for the game to go ahead.  Coaches who don't have seven forfeit the game, or you may borrow players from a lower division to make your team up to seven.  You may not borrow players from your own divisions, or borrow players to make your numbers over seven.

Players may not swear or use abusive or threatening language on or off the field. If players on the field question the referee in an unsportsmanlike conduct they will be subbed off the field and may return if their attitude has changed. If another outburst occurs the player will not be able to play the remainder of the game.

Players who miss 50% or more of the games/practices will be put on a waiting list should they wish to play the following year.

Players are expected to show up in proper attire (to be worn at all times i.e. no putting on or off shirts or shorts at the fields) and be ready to play.  If unable to make the game, players should call the coach.

All players must wear cleats or running shoes.  Please no sandals, crocs, etc. Shin pads are mandatory. Jewelry is not permitted on the field.  A labeled water bottle should come to each game with your child.  If you would like a healthy snack for the children please co-ordinate that with the parents on your child's team.  This is not the coach's responsibility.

Switching teams is not possible.  Players are expected to show a sportsmanlike attitude no matter what the outcome of the game.
