How to Submit a Score

Do the following to submit a score:

1) Either press the 'Submit a Score' button on the Home page or click here: Submit a Score (opens in a new window)

2) On the first page, enter your email address, then select the date, field, and division from the lists provided, then press the Next button.

3) On the second page, select the visiting team from the list and enter the visiting team's score and defensive innings pitched, then select the home team from the list and enter the home team's score and defensive innings pitched, then press the Submit button.


Defensive innings pitched is in the format of either just a single digit number or with the number full innings prior to the decimal and number of outs in the final inning after the decimal. Examples: 6, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2

There is a Back button on the second page in case you need to go back to the first page.

Once a score is submitted you will be presented with a page indicating that 'Your response has been recorded' and has an 'Edit your response' and 'Submit another response' links.

You will also receive an email with your response that has an 'Edit response' link in case you need to make a change, so please review your response for accuracy.

To all Team Managers & Representatives,

Team managers and representatives are responsible for flowing down the following information to their players:

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM):
  • The AGM and managers information meeting will be held on Thursday evening July 30, 2026.
WHERE:           BO’s BAR & STAGE
                          2310 50 Ave.
                        Red Deer, Alberta
                        T4R 1M3                 
TIME: 7:30 p.m.
  •  Tournament line-up cards and baseballs will be handed out to each team. 
(Please ensure your team is represented!)


TOURNAMENT SWAG:

  • The link to pre-purchase your 2026 tournament merchandise can be found on the home page of the CNOBF website.  Please visit www.cnobf.com to place your orders online.  The deadline to place orders is July 16, 2026. 

FREE AGENT LIST:

  • If your team is in need of players, please visit the FREE AGENT LIST that can be found on the CNOBF website homepage. www.cnobf.com

RULES:

  • Have players read the rules and constitution so that they are familiar with their specific age bracket rules and regulations.

ROSTER FORMS / INDEMNITY LETTER:

2 OPTIONS

  1. For the computer savvy Managers:  Submit the “excel copy” electronically.  Include all player’s names and birth year.  (NOTE: Player signatures are not required on this copy.)
  2. For the old school Managers:  Print a copy of the roster form.  Write in the players names and birth year.  Scan (or take a photo) of the roster form and submit. (Note: Player signatures are optional for this method.)

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Managers are to retain their own personal copy of the roster form that “includes” all players’ signatures!

  • NO player shall take the field on Friday July 31st if they have not signed the team roster form and have not read and initialed the league indemnity letter.
  • The roster form you submit to the executive MUST match the roster form you have with you on file.

SCHEDULE:

  • The schedule will be distributed to all team Managers/Rep’s by Saturday July 18, 2026.

BATS:

  • Baseball bats must be made of wood. (Baumbats ARE allowed!)
  • Any bat with a aluminum, steel/iron rod within the barrel are not allowed!  If a player is caught using a non-sanctioned bat, it will be cause for an automatic out and the bat will be removed from the game until the end of the tournament.  (The bat will be returned at the end of the tournament.) 

BASEBALLS:

  • 8 baseballs will be given to each team representative at the AGM.  These eight baseballs (2 per game) will be used in your round robin and first playoff games.
  • Both teams must help in retrieving foul balls during a game!

UMPIRES:

  • Having umpires at this level is a privilege!  They are human, and as such, may make a questionable call in the moment.  These calls, along with the umpires themselves, will be respected at all times!  If you feel compelled to question an umpire’s decision, please do so with tact and a respectful demeanor! 
  • Any player that is ejected from a game will automatically miss the following game (or possibly more depending on the severity of his actions). 
  • Team managers and representatives are responsible for their player’s actions on the ball field! 
  • If any players are sanctioned umpires for senior level baseball or higher and are willing to assist the CNOBF by umpiring the bases during off games, please contact Tim Lessard and Rich Knight.  

GAMES:

  • Each team will have 1 home game designated with “@” symbol.  All other games will be designated with “vs.” and will be a coin toss to decide home team!
  • Round-Robin games on Friday and Saturday will have a 2-hour (120 minute) time limit!  NO new inning will start after 2 hours of play.  This is in effect due to the total number of games that must be played.
  • Games CAN end in a tie! (However, if you play 7-innings under the 2-hour time limit, 1 extra inning will be allowed!)
  • Teams MUST keep their own score!  Team Manager/Rep. must verify the final score with an official and/or umpire after the game. 
  • Winning team is responsible for submitting the final score and innings played, to Rich Knight, Tim Lessard, Glenn Lacoste and/or Richie Thompson.

PLAYOFFS:

  • Playoff schedule for Sunday will be released on the CBOBF website Saturday night.
  • Playoff schedule will be based on round-robin scores provided to the Executive.  Team Managers/Reps. should be checking the website Friday and Saturday night to ensure scores are correct.
  • Seeding will be based on scores submitted and division standings will be based on the following:
    • Wins
    • Points for a tie
    • Runs against
  • Home team for semi-final games will be based on standings, with the higher seeded team being awarded the home game!

CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES:

  • Home Team will be decided by a coin toss.
  • Championship games will be played on Monday August 3, 2026. (Weather Permitting)
  • Please note that some age groups championship game MAY be played on Sunday August 2, 2026.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

  • In the event of rain on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the executive board, along with the host committee, will make the best decision possible to ensure that all teams have an equal amount of games played to draw up a playoff and/or championship schedule.

IMPORTANT NOTES: 

  • IF A TEAM HAS PAID THEIR TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE BY THE DEADLINE AND CHOOSE TO WITHDRAW FROM THE TOURNAMENT AFTER JULY 4, 2026, THEY WILL FORFEIT THEIR TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE.
  • ALL TEAMS MUST BE PREPARED TO PLAY AT 9:30 a.m. FRIDAY JULY 31st   
  • DEADLINE FOR THE ROSTER FORM TO BE SUBMITTED IS SATURDAY JULY 18, 2026
  • Submit roster to:
  • WAIVER INDEMNITY FORM - Team Manager / Rep. is responsible to have each team member read and initial the waiver indemnity form.    This is to be kept by each Manager throughout the tournament.

WELCOME TO CNOBF 2026 - IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

To all Team Managers, Representatives and Players,

As we near the end of 2025, the Executive Board and I would like to extend our warm wishes to you and your families this holiday season.

As we look ahead to 2026, I would like to pass along the following information:

Our 2026 National Tournament will be held in Red Deer, Alberta, and surrounding municipalities.

DATES:  Friday July 31 – Monday August 3, 2026

Preparations are well underway with the help of Blair Hanna and his tournament committee.

New for 2026, there will be a 70+ division.  Stay tuned for more information on that!

60+ Division – Players need to be 60 years of age by Dec. 31, 2026

-          maximum of four (4) underage players allowed who are 58 years of age or older by Dec. 31, 2026.

-          Only one (1) of the underage players is allowed to pitch in the tournament.

50+ Division – Players need to be 50 years of age by Dec. 31, 2026.

-          NO underage players are allowed!

43+ Division – Players need to be 43 years of age by Dec. 31, 2026

-          NO underage players are allowed!

33+ Division – Players need to be 33 years of age by Dec. 31, 2026.

-          NO underage players are allowed!

TEAMS:

If your team is interested in, or planning to attend the 2026 tournament, please inform Tim Lessard / Rich Knight at your earliest convenience so we can pencil you in.  The number of teams committed will dictate how many ball parks Blair Hanna and his committee will need to secure.

ENTRY FEE:

$1,000 per Team

2026 DEADLINES:

March 1, 2026 – Final date to submit your team’s intentions to play in the 2026 tournament.

April 25, 2026 – Final day to submit your team’s $400 deposit to hold your place.

June 15, 2026 – Final day to submit your team’s final payment.

A list of available hotels will follow as soon as the information is received from the tournament committee.
