The Gord Rust Foundation has been created through the work of Gord's community of family and friends to honour his legacy. The Foundation's purpose is to financially support club volleyball athletes in the Brandon Volleyball Club program.
Gord touched countless lives with his warmth, selflessness and generosity. Whether through coaching, sponsorship or volunteering, he left an impact on everyone who knew him. The goal of the Foundation is to ensure that Gord’s legacy continues to make a difference for many years to come. To this end, any donation, no matter how small is deeply appreciated.

“Volleyball was always a part of Gord’s life as an athlete, coach, ref, fan and as a healthcare provider. He loved the game. Some of his fondest memories were made with his Brandon senior men’s Six Pac team, a group of good friends on a powerhouse team through the 90’s. Over the years, Gord also found time to ref games, coach a senior women’s team and help with high school volleyball at the JV level. Gord was a fan. He loved travelling with our son to tournaments and games to watch him play BVC. We attended many BU CIS games as a family. In more recent years, he donated his time treating BU athletes at his chiropractic practice. Gord believed in giving back, in growing sport in the community. He would love that the Gord Rust commemorative foundation will continue this tradition by supporting athletes within the BVC program”
