HEO Spectator Zero Tolerance Abuse Policy
SHIFT FORWARD
Hockey Canada has launched a new educational training course for parents called: SHIFT FORWARD. This online course is mandatory for all new participants and must be completed by one parent or guardian at the time of registration. For remaining U7 parents, one parent or guardian must complete the new Shift Forward course by September 2028 (this replaces the former Respect in Sport course). You can complete the course here: Clinic Registration | HOCKEY EASTERN ONTARIO. (the course fee is $13.00).
Please note that if you have completed the former Respect in Sport course; you will no longer be able to add new participants to your account. All new participants will require one parent or guardian to complete the Shift Forward course.
*Coaches and Bench Staff - all rostered volunteers will be required to complete Shift Forward by September 2028.
AMHA 24 Hour Rule
I agree that I will not discuss any concerns from a game, practice, or team event with any member of the team staff for a period of 24 hours after the game practice or team event. In addition, I will review the issue with my son/daughter and then if I feel it needs to be addressed, I will approach the team manager or coach and respect the process that is in place for the resolution of team issues.
I will not approach the bench during or at the conclusion of a game, skills, or practice session. If my child is injured, I will await instructions from the trainer who is certified and equipped to deal with the situation.
