Well, this wasn't the start we were hoping for... but in the spirit of safety we're going to hang tough this week.

Coaches, there's a bizarre upside to this... that is - we MUST keep our distance. Football (ok... Soccer) is a PASSING game. The ball does the work. Our players NEED to create and maintain distance so the passing game can develop.
Such a strange twist that we're actually, socially NOT allowed to crowd a space!

This. Is. Soccer!

U3/U5/U7's, this is an opportunity to space the kids out and develop the motor skills involved with kicking and throwing the ball to one another, to targets, all while keeping their space from one another.

U9/U11's, now that you've moved onto the medium-sized pitch there is an opportunity to introduce a very basic shape (for instance 3 defenders, 3 midfielders, and 2 attackers... what we'd call 3-3-2). Have your squad pass to each other in diagonal lines, moving as little as possible from their assigned position.

U13/15/17/19, again - now is a perfect opportunity to develop a preferred 11 player shape and be legally mandated to maintain it....?

We're here to help folks, there is a ton of experience in our Association. No such thing as a dumb question... we were all new at one point.

Please reach out to the executives if there is any questions.
