2024/2025 tryout registration
Registration is now closed.
tryout registration steps:
1. Register as a 2025 Volleyball Alberta Youth Development Player - Tryout:
- Go to https://volleyballalberta.sportlomo.com/
- Click on 'REGISTER' button under REGISTER TO VOLLEYBALL ALBERTA
- Click the box beside '2025 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PLAYER - TRYOUT'.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'Register'.
- If you already have a Sportlomo account, login to continue.
- If you don't have a Sportlomo account, under the login button, click on 'sign up here' to create an account. The Sportlomo account can be created by a parent (parent email, password) or player (player email, password). The email used will become your Primary User Account Email and what you will use to Login to your user account. A Sportlomo account holder can manage their own registrations as well as memberships and registrations of their dependents. *PLEASE NOTE: An individual should only have 1 Member ID. And an account may have multiple Member ID cards affiliated to it (family managed account).
- Answer all the required (bolded) fields on the registration form.
- Read the waivers, click to accept the waivers, sign, and continue to payment ($21.81).
- NEW FOR 2025: participants must visit https://sportconsent.ca/login to review a 15 min video and sign the Abuse-Free Sport Participant Consent Form.
- Members will receive an email from noreply@sportlomo.com. Take a screenshot of the email as proof of registration. (You will need this when you register for the PRVC Tryout)
- NEW MEMBERS, must check their email inbox/junk for an account activation email.
2. Register for PRVC tryouts. See the age class categories to register accordingly.
Volleyball Alberta Age Classes 2024-2025 season
Volleyball Alberta follows Volleyball Canada’s age categories for competitions:

| 12U | Athletes born from September 1, 2012 to Dec 31, 2013 (16 months) |
| 13U | Athletes born from September 1, 2011 to Dec 31, 2012 (16 months) |
| 14U | Athletes born from September 1, 2010 to Dec 31, 2011 (16 months) |
| 15U | Athletes born from September 1, 2009 to Dec 31, 2010 (16 months) |
| 16U | Athletes born from September 1, 2008 to Dec 31, 2009 (16 months) |
| 17U | Athletes born from September 1, 2007 to Dec 31, 2008 (16 months) |
| 18 U | Athletes born from September 1, 2006 to Dec 31, 2007 (16 months) |
3. The $40 tryout registration fee can be sent via e-transfer to prvcfinance@gmail.com before the tryout day, or paid in cash on site.
After tryouts
Letter of Intent (LOI): Player offers (LOI) will be emailed to athletes within a few days after tryouts.
According to Volleyball Alberta guidelines, a player offer must be honored by the club for at least 48 hours. Athletes have 48 hours from the time the offer is given to accept or decline. They may request an extension if more time is needed, but that would be at the discretion of the club and it must be documented.
