Coach Jenn Richardson
Coach Jenn Richardson received her B.S. in Mathematics Education from Brigham Young University, and is currently pursuing an Elementary Education certificate at Moreland University. A standout athlete and scholar, Coach Richardson played softball for BYU on a full scholarship, where she excelled as a four-year starter. Her outstanding performance on the field earned her the title of Offensive Player of the Year for BYU in 2007 and a place on the prestigious 3rd Team Easton All-American Softball Team in the same year.Combining her passion for sports and education, Coach Richardson has dedicated over a decade to coaching youth sports, including 3 years as a high school softball head coach, instilling in young athletes not only the fundamentals of the game but also invaluable life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. Her commitment to community and excellence in coaching was recognized when she was awarded the Phoenix Mercury Jr. NBA Community Coach of the Year in 2023. Further accolades include being honored for her service and dedication to athletics by Anne Arundel County Public Schools Athletics, receiving a Service Award in 2016. Her commitment to academic excellence was highlighted when she was named a 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.Coach Richardson continues to inspire and mentor young athletes, shaping them into not only skilled competitors but also well-rounded individuals both on and off the field. She is excited about her newest journey to establish a club baseball team that doesn’t play on Sundays, creating an opportunity to compete in club baseball not previously available to athletes that wish to dedicate their Sundays to religious worship.COACH TERREL RICHARDSON
Coach T's journey is quite diverse and impressive! Growing up in Mesa, Arizona, he immersed himself in sports, particularly baseball, and developed his baseball knowledge and coaching skills from a young age, assisting with coaching Little League teams alongside his father and eventually working his way up to District 7 Little League head umpire. His passion for coaching continued as he took on the role of head softball coach at Heritage Academy. After completing his Master's degree in Russian from the University of Arizona, Terrel joined the US Navy. His military career provided him with unique experiences and challenges, including frequent relocations. Despite this, Coach T remained committed to coaching youth sports, volunteering with various teams in baseball, basketball, football and soccer through several youth programs including Cal Ripken, Pony, Army Youth Sports, Navy Child and Youth Programs, and YMCA. This dedication highlights his passion for teaching and motivating young athletes, instilling in them not only the skills of the game, but also teaching them life lessons such as resilience. Coach T's role within the Bandits organization will be diverse, focusing on administrative tasks while supporting Coach Jenn in leading the team. His extensive coaching experience, combined with his diverse background, will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the Bandits organization.
COACH JACOB BECKERTJacob Beckert is a seasoned coach with a strong foundation in baseball and a commitment to player development. As a four-year letterman on the varsity baseball team at Mesa High, Jacob excelled in multiple positions including pitcher, first base, and outfield. Despite opportunities to play junior college baseball and attracting interest from Brigham Young University, Jacob chose to pursue his passion for health and wellness, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Wellness from ASU in 2017. With over 8 years of experience in the Health and Wellness field, Jacob has held various roles such as Strength and Conditioning Coach, softball coach, Health Fitness Specialist at Corporate Fitness Works, and baseball instructor. Jacob's coaching philosophy is deeply routed in his love for the game and his dedication to helping young players succeed. He approaches coaching as both a student and a mentor, emphasizing fundamentals, discipline and enjoyment on the field. Jacob is passionate about nurturing each player's potential, ensuring they develop both as athletes and individuals under his guidance.
