About Us

Central Oregon Adult Baseball is for all adults, 18 and older, who enjoy playing hardball at a recreational level.  Our participants’ skill level ranges from new to the sport to those with professional experience.  The way we make it work is for everyone to have a great attitude about what baseball is really about–fun.  Sometimes an easy pop up is dropped, and sometimes a pitcher buckles batters’ knees with a nasty breaking ball.  No matter what happens, we’re all pulling for each other and enjoying the company of others who love the game of baseball. In 2023 COAB had players ranging in age from 18 - 72.

COAB was formed in 2017 by Austin Evans and Michael McClain after years of silence on the adult baseball front in Central Oregon.  For several years Central Oregon had a thriving league, but players aged.  Now a new generation of ballplayers is ready to take the field again.  We’re growing, we’re motivated, and we’re bringing real adult baseball back to the region. After seven years Austin Evans was succeded by Sean Jacox as President of Central Oregon Adult Baseball.

COAB officially affiliated with the National Adult Baseball Associatiaon (NABA) for the 2024 season. After years of remaing un-affiliated, it made more sense to affiliate with NABA. The idea of traveling around to large tournament became a goal for quite a large portion of the league. While the large majority of our time will be spent playing in the place we call home, the opportunity for more baseball does exist. What we never want to lose, though, is our unique Central Oregon values.  Although competitive, we play for the joy of the game, the good company and the beautiful Central Oregon outdoors.
