xThe Cambridge Lions organization is pleased to announce the return of Head Coach Christian Kuriata with the U18 Varsity program. Coach K looks to build off his first year and continue upholding the program’s goals of development, winning culture, and sending prepared players to the next level.
Coach Christian:
"I am excited to be back for my 4th season with the Lions, 2nd as the Head Coach. I believe that the program we continue to build is a premier experience for players across the entire OSFL. I am proud to say we provide our athletes with the tools necessary for success both on gameday and as they continue their football careers to the next level. I have been lucky to be a part of some great teams in my time with the Lions, where we have been a consistent contender and have had one of the highest recruitment rates in the province. As we look to the future, we want to continue building the sense of pride in being a Lion, and get back to being a championship team. AAA football is the best you can get, and if you love competing both at practice and on gameday, this is where you need to be. In 2025, we are treating everyday like its 3rd & 1, and I can’t wait to be back on the Hunt."
We are excited to watch Christian get to work in preparation for next season, knowing the program is in good hands! Congratulations on this appointment and good luck!
The Cambridge Lions organization is pleased to announce that Ron Schippling will be returning as the head coach of the U16 program for the 2025 Spring football season.
In addition to his experience as our head coach the last two seasons, Ron has coached linebackers and defensive line with our U18 program, at the high school level, and as head coach of the two time U16 Provincial Champion South Delta Rams in British Columbia, where he played collegiately at SFU. Ron brings a development focus, high standards and expectations, and positive leadership to our AAA program. He and his returning coaches are excited to recruit new players into our Lions Varsity program and support them in preparation for the next level. Look out for Ron and U16 coaches at high school games this fall for information regarding our U16 program as we continue to attract players who wish to compete and become the best they can be, in a positive and demanding environment.
Congratulations Ron!

Cambridge Lions Football is pleased to announce Troy Murphy as the Head Coach for our AAA U12 team this upcoming spring 2025 OSFL season. A few words from Coach Troy:
"After spending the last 10+ years as a defensive or special teams coordinator and Linemen coach with the MM Robinson Rams, Burlington Stampeders, and now the Cambridge Lions, I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to be this team's head coach. This season, we will continue to make our primary objective physical and mental player development. We will build a strong foundation that starts with the basics, such as proper stance, hand placement, and first step. We will teach players how to succeed mentally in adverse situations and always emphasize effort and positivity. This team will be competing for a championship in the spring and I can't wait to get started. Go Lions!
Congratulations Troy!
