Women's Twilight League

NEW MEMBER INFO

New to the league or considering it?  Everyone in the league was a new member at some point, so we all know there is a lot to absorb and a lot of people to meet. Below are the details for becoming a league member.

CA Membership
You do not need to be a CA member to join the league. However, you will have to pay slightly higher greens fees. And you will be limited to playing only during league times at Hobbit's Glen.

Level of Golf Experience
It's expected that you have some prior golf experience and be aware of the rules of the game, course etiquette, and scorekeeping. You should also understand the importance of playing "ready golf" and be able to keep pace at 2 hours and 20 minutes or better for 9 holes.

Developing a Handicap
A handicap is required in order to be a member of the league. You must establish your handicap within 60 days of joining the league and demonstrate average scores below 66 for 9 holes or a handicap lower than 50 or an average round time of 2:20, so all players can enjoy the round and finish within a reasonable time.

If you’re new to the league, please sign up for a handicap as soon as possible. Each round you play in the league or at other courses can be applied toward establishing your handicap. A minimum of 6 rounds of 9 or 3 rounds of 18 is required to establish a handicap.

The handicap fee is paid annually. If you have a CA Annual Golf Membership, your handicap fees are included and will be processed at the Hobbit’s Glen Course. Unless your handicap is held at another club, one will have to be established for you at Fairway Hills.

Golf Genius
Once your registration has been processed, you will begin to receive informational and tee time signup emails from the Women's Twilight League Golf Genius site.  Please download the mobile app to your phone using your provider's App Store before the season begins.

When you first join it's helpful to sign up with members who have been playing in our league for a while so they can answer any questions you have. If you need to change your tee time or cancel after the tee sheet is closed please contact the tournament chair AND let someone in your group know. This is especially important with the later tee times so no one ends up alone. You must play with another member for your score to count.

Turning in Your Scores
All scores must be entered hole by hole in the Golf Genius system when you play in the Twilight League on Thursdays. Designate one person in your group to enter each player’s score in real time and another person to track scores, putts and callouts on a paper scorecard. Take a picture of the paper card to have for backup.  Everyone in the group should agree to the GG scores before submitting, no changes will be accepted after GHIN is updated later that evening.  Please send your Putts & Callouts to the League using the Member Portal section of the Golf Genius app before you leave the course!

USGA Rules
We follow USGA rules. The ball is played as it lies and putts must be holed.

Special circumstances where relief will be permitted might come up during the season (course conditions, ground under repair, etc.). You will be notified by email whenever these situations arise.

Email
Please make sure you use the same email address for all Twilight League activities.. We use email to notify members about tournament results, league news, and special events.
