Coach Tommy

Tommy, a former wrestler, has been the Head Coach of our youth program since 2016. Having started wrestling at the young age of seven, he continued his journey through high school at Westford Academy. Now, Tommy finds immense joy in giving back to the kids in our program, imparting the valuable lessons of resiliency and perseverance that he learned during his own youth. For Tommy, watching the team grow year after year is a source of great pride. He always strives to keep the wrestlers engaged and motivated, going above and beyond to find creative ways to ensure their continuous development. Through his dedication and passion, Tommy has become an integral part of our organization, shaping the lives of young athletes and instilling in them the values that have guided him throughout adulthood.




Coach Ryan

Ryan, a native of Westford, has always had a passion for wrestling. Graduating in 2007, he spent his high school years dedicated to the sport. Afterward, Ryan went on to serve as an assistant coach for two years at WA while also lending his expertise to the doughboy wrestling club. As a proud father of two, Ryan's love for wrestling has been passed down to his children. His son, currently in 7th grade, and his daughter, a second-grade state champion, both share their father's passion for the sport. Ryan has been coaching for us for the past two seasons. In addition to wrestling, Ryan has also made a mark in other sports. He has been coaching baseball for the past four years and tackle football for the past two years, showcasing his versatility and dedication to youth sports. As a sports enthusiast and devoted coach, Ryan's impact extends beyond the wrestling mat. His commitment to mentoring young athletes and fostering their love for sports is commendable. With his experience and passion, Ryan continues to shape the next generation of athletes in Westford and beyond.

Coach Chris

Chris has been in the world of wrestling for quite some time. From 1985 to 1989, he wrestled for Triton Regional High School, where he proved his skills and dedication to the sport. In 1987-1988, Chris was named the Most Valuable Player of the team, showcasing his exceptional talent. During his senior year, Chris served as the captain of the Triton Regional High School wrestling team, guiding and inspiring his teammates to success. His leadership qualities and commitment to excellence were evident during this time. He also achieved remarkable victories that year as he became the New Hampshire State Freestyle champion and the Massachusetts State Freestyle runner-up. These impressive accomplishments solidified his status as a top wrestler in his region. After high school, Chris continued his wrestling journey at Springfield College from 1989 to 1993. This period allowed him to further develop his skills and gain valuable experience competing at the collegiate level. Following his successful college career, Chris ventured into coaching. From 1993 to 1998, he coached at Inarajan and Oceanview High Schools in Guam, where he shared his knowledge and passion for wrestling with young athletes. Chris then served as an assistant coach at Haverhill High School from 1998 to 2000, further honing his coaching abilities. In 2017, Chris joined Westford Youth Wrestling as a coach, a role he continues to excel in to this day. His dedication to nurturing and guiding young wrestlers is evident, and he contributes to the growth and development of the sport in his community. Chris's journey in wrestling spans over three decades, leaving a lasting impact as both an accomplished wrestler and a dedicated coach. 


Coach Ian

Ian, a born and raised Westford native, has always had a deep passion for sports. As a dedicated police officer, husband, and father of three children, Ian has managed to balance his professional and personal life while excelling in the world of wrestling. Ian's journey in wrestling began in the Westford Youth Wrestling program, where he honed his skills from kindergarten to eighth grade. His determination and hard work paid off, leading him to join the Doughboy Wrestling Club and represent Team Massachusetts. During his time at Westford Academy, Ian emerged as a force to be reckoned with on the wrestling mat. As a four-year starter and team captain, he showcased his exceptional skills and leadership qualities. Ian's dedication to the sport and his teammates was unparalleled. Not only did Ian excel in wrestling, but he also contributed to the Westford Academy Football Team as an assistant coach for three years. Ian's commitment to the development of young wrestlers is evident in his role as an assistant coach for Westford Youth Wrestling for the past two years. He selflessly shares his expertise and experiences, inspiring the next generation of wrestling stars. Ian's journey from Westford's youth wrestling program to becoming a respected police officer, husband, father, and coach is a testament to his character and work ethic. He embodies the spirit of Westford, and his impact on the community is immeasurable.
