Why is 6v6 the best format to play flag football?

In traditional American football, teams have five (5) eligible receivers plus a quarterback which equals six (6) players involved in the passing game. The 6v6 format provides a competitive game with the opportunity for QBs and other offensive positions to experience traditional defensive coverages. Having 6 athletes on the field allows for easier passing opportunities and more field time for all players. All Rise athletes get to experience both offensive and defensive play.

My child already plays another competitive/travel sport –can they do this as well?

Yes! The once-a-week structure of Rise Flag Football provides the opportunity for multisport athletes to try something new and develop valuable cross-training skills. Entire baseball/basketball/hockey teams have registered to join Rise Flag Football together for the purposes of team building, cross-training, and year-round fitness.
