Unleashing Untapped Talents, Mafia Flag Football, where we come together as a family, bound by our love for flag football and our commitment to the Lord. Our goal is for our youth to realize their true talents by seeking the Lord and honing in on the gifts that He has provided.
At UUT, every child is valued and supported as an integral part of our family. We strive to instill the M.A.F.I.A. way in our young athletes through values of Discipline, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, and Dedication, preparing them not only for success in flag football but also for life's challenges ahead.
Our Story
Prior to the creation of Unleashing Untapped Talents, there was a journey of both boys and girls competitive travel flag football. James has coached both his son’s and daughter's flag teams in local leagues as well as travel tournaments. Through time he grew to learn all the aspects of coordinating, learning, and organizing a team to best compete in tournaments around the country. Then, another coaching opportunity arose, allowing him to share his passion with his friends' daughters. Several championships later, MAFIA was born!
Why UUT?
While many programs focus on local competition, UUT is dedicated to giving athletes the opportunity to compete against top talent on a national stage. Our goal is to bridge the gap in competitive opportunities, showcasing the incredible talents of our youth and proving they can excel at the highest levels.
We aim to achieve this without placing additional financial burdens on parents, relying instead on the generous support of individuals and businesses. Together, we can empower these athletes to shine on the national field.
FAQ
How many tournaments will we play?
- 8-12 tournments a year, based on each team's availabity
What is the commitment level?
- Travel season runs yearly from April - March
- Attendance requirements are 75% of tournaments and practices
When and where will practice be held at? Subject to change
- Practices are typically held at Foster's Park and/or Jefferson High School
- Up to 3 days per week which includes a team practice and speciality skills training
What's included in the cost?
- Discounted $750 one-time payment or monthly payment plan for the year
- All uniforms, bags, flags, tournament fees, and discounted pricing for NFL Flag seasonal league
Why a non-profit?
- We feel that everyone deserves an opportunity to Tap into their Talents regardless of financial situation
- Expenses are offset through Fundraising and Sponsorships with everyones efforts
