Q: How old must my daughter be to play? 

A: Registration is open to girls ages 4-14 within our community and surrounding areas. The Season runs from September 1- August 31

Q: When does the season begin?

A: FallBall begins weekend after Labor Day with a doubleheader being played every other Sunday.  Spring Season kicks off late February, running to mid-April.  Typically a 13 game schedule will be played during the week, with some teams electing to participate in weekend tournaments.  Rainouts will be rescheduled for play on Wednesdays and Fridays.  AllStars will begin late April and the State Tournament will start in June and the National Tournaments in July.  For Post-Season play, tournaments will be played on weekends, with games starting on Friday Night and continuing through Sunday.  Follow Sweeny Girls Softball Association on Facebook to keep up with registration dates.

Q: What equipment will my daughter need?

A: ASA/USA Softball-approved bat, along with a helmet, cleats and fielding glove. Fielding facemasks may be required dependent on players division, position and/or coach preference.  

Q: What are the registration fees?

Q: What does the registration fee pay for?

A: Registration fees help cover:  uniform jersey, insurance, umpire fees and field maintenance.
