Stonewall Sports, Inc. was founded in Washington, DC in 2010 as an LGBTQIA+ community-based, nonprofit sports organization that strives to provide an inclusive, low-cost, high-fun environment across all leagues. Each player is valued for who they are and what they bring to their chapter's community. Stonewall "kicked things off" with kickball, but have since expanded to many other sports, including billiards, bocce, bowling, darts, dodgeball, rock climbing, tennis, volleyball, and yoga.
As of 2022, chapters have formed in more than 23 cities across the US.
Stonewall Sports Cleveland was established as the ninth city chapter in 2015 by Taylor Henschel and Jim Forrest. We operate as a nonprofit and aim to create a low-cost, highly social, safe, and welcoming community where individuals can feel comfortable being themselves while taking part in a fun sport.
Stonewall Sports is for everyone! Maybe you haven't kicked a ball since elementary school or thrown a dodgeball since high school, or maybe you've been playing in adult leagues for years, either way we offer a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
